The Hemisfèric, inaugurated in 1998, is the biggest cinema room that can project with three different systems (IMAX, 3D and digital) onto a concave screen of 900 m2 .
It was the first building in the City of Arts and Sciences to open its door. It is a spectacular construction designed by Santiago Calatrava.
The Hemisfèric offers a varied programme of immersive projections in its semi-spherical dome.
The Palau de las Arts (Palace of Arts) Reina Sofía, inaugurated in 2005, after the Hemisfèric, the museum of science and the Umbral, and also designed by Santiago Calatrava, is equiped by the most modern technologies and constitute an avant-garde and modern space as all the City of Arts and Sciences. It hosts operas and great musical shows.
